Potgieter heads to Sun City as the youngest champion in Korn Ferry Tour history after winning the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at the age of 19 years, four months and 11 days earlier this year.
Potgieter also became the second youngest Korn Ferry Tour graduate ever to earn a PGA Tour card for next season.
Raised in Mossel Bay, Potgieter honed his game as a member of the Louis Oosthuizen Academy.
After a string of amateur titles in South Africa, he broke through on the international stage with victory in the 2022 Amateur Championship at the age of 17, becoming the second youngest winner of this prestigious title.
Potgieter then turned professional in 2023, and is known for his prodigious length off the tee.
