The double Major champion makes his debut in the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player.

With a fresh approach to the game in everything from equipment to fan interaction, DeChambeau has established himself as not just an outstanding golfer once ranked as high as fourth in the world, but also a player who has grown a new audiences through his prodigious reach on social media.

He now heads to Sun City hoping to add his name to a list of six Americans who have already triumphed in “Africa’s Major”.

DeChambeau enjoyed a stellar amateur career which included victories in the NCAA Division I Championship and US Amateur in 2015, earning him a place alongside greats such as Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson as players to have achieved this. He also represented the United States in both the Eisenhower Trophy and Walker Cup, and was undefeated in the latter in 2015.

He then made an immediate impact early in his professional career with a PGA TOUR victory in his second year in the paid ranks, and is now a 16-time winner around the world as well as having represented the United States in three Ryder Cups and a Presidents Cup.

In the period between 2020 to 2025, DeChambeau produced some of his best golf at the highest level of the game as he won two US Opens and finished in the top 10 in 10 out of the 22 Majors he started in.
