Justin Rose

Rose returns to play competitive golf in the country of his birth and at “Africa’s Major” for the first time since 2023.

His best performance in the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player came in 2007 when he challenged for the title with future Masters champion Trevor Immelman, losing by a single shot to the South African.

The winner of the 2013 US Open and former world number one has enjoyed one of the most impressively consistent careers in the game and this year challenged for The Masters before finishing tied third behind Rory McIlroy. He added this to his already impressive haul of three runners-up finishes at Augusta National.

Forever remembered as the 17-year-old amateur who chipped in for birdie on the final hole of the 1998 Open at Royal Birkdale to finish tied fourth, Rose has gone on to establish himself as not just one of the greats of the game, but also a true gentleman who is widely respected and loved by his peers.

It was in South Africa where Rose claimed his first professional title in the 2002 Dunhill Championship, and he has since gone on to win 13 times on the PGA TOUR – a record for an English golfer – and 11 times on the DP World Tour.

To this he has added an Olympic gold medal and five Ryder Cup victories with Team Europe.
